Joan Ferrarons has extensive experience as a language professional. Over the past ten years, he has translated about thirty books, which add up to more than 4.800 pages, and has proofread about twelve volumes, the equivalent to 2.600 pages approx.

His most important translations include El castell by Franz Kafka (forthcoming), Kruso by Lutz Seiler (Club Ed., 2017), Lliçó d’alemany by Siegfried Lenz (Club Ed., 2016) and El naixement de la tragèdia by Friedrich Nietzsche (Cedres Vermells, 2014). He has also translated two novels penned by Nobel laureates: La infantesa del bruixot by Hermann Hesse (Angle Ed., 2017) and Abaixeu les armes! by Bertha von Suttner (Angle Ed., 2014).

He has worked as an in-house translator at the European Parliament (2013) and the City Council of Barcelona (2012), as well as for the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona and the Teatro Real in Madrid (2009/10).
